Years ago, I sat in my boss’s Porsche, gripping the leather steering wheel and thinking, “Damn, I want this.” Luxury has a way of knocking at the door of your ambitions, then kick-starting your drive to achieve it. Whether it’s the hum of a sports car, the exclusive feel of a country club, or the panoramic view from a penthouse suite, these experiences provoke a deep, nagging question: “Why not me?”
Look, some people won’t get jazzed by the smell of Italian leather or the glint of a chandelier. And that’s okay. The point isn’t to create a one-size-fits-all motivational playbook. The point is to recognize the dynamite-like power that the right experiences can have on the right people.
So, you’ve got this gnawing desire—now what? You turn it into a plan, set actionable goals, and execute. Period. You might use vision boards, SMART goals, or good ol’ fashioned grit. Whatever works to make that Porsche, country club membership, or dream vacation a reality.

That means intentionally placing yourself, or your sales force, in scenarios that could spark that inner drive. Be it a high-stakes sales pitch, a luxury retreat, or one-on-one time with someone who’s already living your dream, you’ve got options. Use them.
Experiences aren’t just temporary highs; they’re the kindling for your intrinsic motivation. So, stop scrolling through Instagram envying other people’s lives. Go out there and get your own experiences that light up your path to success.
